Introduction
Hello everyone, my name is Zoe, and I like good food. I like eating it writing about it and most of all blogging about it. And that is not all. I also plan to write about fun things everyone can do in Portland, Oregon from your oldy grammas who say "What are we going to do today?" to young kids of every age. I have not figured out this whole blog thingy and frankly I am not 100 percent sure what to to write about next. So, if you have any ideas I would love to know. Enjoy my blog! ...Zoe
Zoe, The colors in your blog look really cool. I can't wait to read about all the fun things to do in pdx!

ReplyDeleteOk how about a fountain or maybe a river.
ReplyDeleteHi, Zoe! What a great idea to write a blog about Portland. Since you like St Honoré Bakery - maybe you should do a study this summer on which bakery in Portland makes the best muffin or the best scone or the best cookie - whatever favorite pastry you like. You could research different bakeries in different neighborhoods and bike to them for a tasting. Just a thought - cold be fun!
ReplyDeleteYour friend, Lori
I am so going to that in fact I have already started
DeleteZoe! You should learn to cook something new every week of the summer and review the recipe and take pictures of yourself cooking it! You could even invent your own sandwich and cookie recipes!

What a good idea !!!!!!!!! I will try that.
ReplyDeleteYou should review the movies or TV shows you see. You should talk about the amazing things you experience on each day: what did you read that made you laugh? What did you hear that was unexpected? What else made you laugh? What decision did you make? What did you hear or see that was new or made you think differently about the world? Here's a game I play with my writing class: If you watch two people too far away to hear what they're saying, write about what you think they're saying and why. Is it the hand gestures? Is it the smiles or frowns on their faces? Is it how close or far they're standing from each other? Or turn off the sound on the TV. Now make up the story just based on the images. Another idea: Decide to do the same thing every day for 5 minutes. What is it like to repeat that same thing. I have a student who watched the same movie! every day. What if you tried to be quiet for 5 minutes every day? I had a friend who drew the Mona Lisa every day for 5 minutes. Look forward to your blog!
